MY BLOG

Thank you for checking in on my blog. The idea of this blog is to keep you up to date on my cancer journey. I will also post some personal thoughts from time to time. Whatever I post, know that it is written with love. Also, know that it might be written with some of my wit. So it might not be grammatically or politically correct.

Friday, April 13

Yesterday turned out to be a very good day. Before we went, the trip to Durham reminded me of some things that I did not particularly want to be reminded of. After we went, the trip reminded me of some things that I am glad that I was reminded of. Let me explain.
While we were in Durham we made a visit to the Caring House, our home away from home for about six weeks. As we sat and talked to Dawn, a very special coordinator there, we shared with her how Diane and I have grown closer through this journey. Then we went to some eating places we don't often go to. We went to "Sweet Tomatoes" in Raleigh for lunch. Then we went to "Panera Bread" for dessert.
When we returned home, I was reminded that life for me has changed. So far, not for the better physically. But my relationship with Diane, my appreciation for friends and family, and my sense of awe in how God works everything out is incredible.

How is your relationship with others and with God?
Happy Friday! See you in church on Sunday.
